Object: Informative report regarding article 13 of Italian Legislative Decree no. 196 issued on June 30, 2003. Italian Legislative Decree D.L. 196/2003 safeguards the confidentiality of personal information and imposes a series of obligations on those who "handle" the personal information of other parties. Among the most important requirements of the law is the requirement to inform the interested parties and to obtain their consent for the handling of said data, particularly for activities in which said data must be communicated to other parties. In light of the above, in compliance with article 13 of said law, we hereby inform you that the undersigned company gathers and handles the information on your company for the purposes of the ordinary management of business relations and, more precisely, to compile personal data lists, maintain customer/supplier accounts, issue invoices, manage creditors as needed to meet the requirements outlined in current regulations. Your information can also be handled for the exclusively internal purposes of statistics and market research. Handling of said information can be performed with both computerized and manual instruments, in full compliance with the precautions necessary to guarantee the security and confidentiality of the information. Your information can also be communicated to third parties, solely for the technical and operational demands strictly linked to the above-mentioned purpose and, in particular, to the following categories of subjects: a) agencies, professionals, companies or other structures we charge with handling said information in order to fulfill all administrative, accounting and management requirements related to ordinary pursuit of our business activities, even as regards the recovery of credit; b) public authorities and administrations in fulfillment of legal requirements; c) banks, financial institutions or other parties for which transfer of said information proves necessary for us to perform the activities required to fulfill our contractual commitments to you. You are free to decide whether to confer your data and to express your consent although your refusal to do so will make it impossible for us to implement contracts and discharge other related activities as well as to correctly manage our mutual business relationship. As outlined in art. 13, section 1 letter e, we hereby inform you of your right to access your personal information as per art. 7. 1. The involved party has the right to obtain confirmation of the existence of any personal information that involves him, even if as yet unrecorded, and to have such information communicated to him/her in comprehensible form. 2. The involved party has the right to obtain indication of the: a) origin of said personal information; b) reasons and means for handling said data; c) logic applied when said information is handled electronically; d) ID of the holder, the persons responsible and the designated representative as per art. 5, section 2; e) parties or categories of parties to which said personal information can be communicated or which can become privy to said information in their duties as designated national representative, manager or assigned party. 3. The involved party has the right to: a) have the information updated, corrected or, when he deems this fitting, integrated; b) have the information deleted, transformed into anonymous format or to block data handled in violation of the law, including the data for which the reasons for collection or subsequent handling do not require keeping said information on file; c) receive certification that the persons to whom the information has been communicated or distributed have been made aware of the operations indicated above at letters a) and b), except for those for which such fulfillment proves impossible or requires resources disproportionate with the right being safeguarded. 4. The involved party has the right to oppose, in full or in part, the handling of his personal information: a) for legitimate reasons, even if said information is pertinent to the purpose for which it was collected; b) for the purpose of sending advertising or direct sales promotional materials or for market research or business communications. The party handling the data is the legal representative of the company. In requesting your consent to having your data handled ( if a copy of the present document is not returned, we shall consider consent granted orally as per individual business relations and we shall consider that, as of this moment, you have been informed of our handling of the data in compliance with and for all purposes outlined in article 13 of the law in question).
